Brief
I recreated a website for an existing restaurant. Before making the new site using HTML5 and CSS3, I performed market research to compare what other restaurants selling similar products were doing on their sites. I studied the website to be innovated, sketched out a site map, and rebuilt it using Illustrator.
I named the restaurant "One Love" since it is community-driven. In the sitemap, I decided to split the menu into vegan and non-vegan so that customers go straight to their food choices. I created a community tab in the navigation bar to include sub-pages containing restaurant activity and relationships with the community. The merch tab is for restaurant fans who want to represent their love for this small but involved business.
For my style tiles, I chose red, gold, and green because these are the colors of the Los Angeles flag. Los Angeles is a vast and diverse community. I picked the typeface called "New Kansas."
I designed wireframes for mobile, tablet, and Laptop/Desktop, along with comprehensives. After that, I prototyped my site and recreated the comprehensives to make the final restaurant website.
