Brief
This project was the final for my Intro to Graphic Design Applications course. Throughout the course, we learned to use all three Adobe basic design applications: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Everyone was to present a design in seven-page form. At that time, I was a massive fan of Mike Patton because he is very talented and has a lot of history in his career. I created a magazine spread with a timeline of all of his projects and music so the interested audience who wanted to pinpoint his evolution could see the different stages of the artist.
To craft the spread, I delved into the world of fan magazine articles, conducting extensive research and creating a mood board filled with diverse sources of inspiration and typefaces.
A Barbie timeline inspired my timeline, so I dug deep into timelines. I used InDesign for my mood board and the final spread to aesthetically use the grids and set-up for my type. I used Photoshop to edit photos and Illustrator to design the "P" logo with the mic as the counter shape.
